The Story Behind Ynubbu

Ynubbu - meaning The Creator - was painted by Aboriginal artist Eulalia Martin, a proud Bunuba and Gija woman from Broome in the Kimberley. This artwork captures the sacred journey of motherhood, symbolising the rebirth of a mother alongside the birth of her baby.

Eulalia draws inspiration from her culture, the land and her faith, creating art that connects families to deeper meaning. With Ynubbu, her story is woven into a practical, everyday essential - a change mat designed to comfort, protect and honour life's most precious moments.
